RESPITE | Trans-Racial Adoption and Foster Care Support Group

Parenting a child of color brings unique and heightened considerations and responsibilities in a racialized society. In particular, because white people have not been confronted with the reality of living as a person of color, it is crucial for white parents to actively engage and educate themselves about the history and experiences of people of color in America.

As part of our work in understanding the challenges and opportunities facing our children of color, we are forming this specialized Support Group to give space to join with other parents on the same journey.

We are asking interested parents to sign up here and let us know what times of week/day work best for meeting so we can determine the schedule for our support group.
