TraumaWise | Parenting for Positive Self-Worth | 2022

Parenting for Positive Self-Worth curriculum was developed by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW and is utilized at HALO Project International. Parenting for Positive Self-Worth is an 8-week, step-by-step program for caregivers to discover how to bring healing and positive self-worth to their kiddos. This program is designed as a “part 2” for caregivers after they have completed the MSOYW journey and have the desire to provide their children with the positive self-worth they have obtained. Through this program, caregivers learn how to connect with their children in deep and meaningful ways, how to empower their children to be successful each day, and how to correct behavior while establishing positive self-worth in their child.

Parenting for Positive Self-Worth is based on Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®.) TBRI® is a research-based intervention created by Dr.’s Karyn Purvis and David Cross at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University.

In class you will learn:

  • how to connect with your child in a deep and meaningful way
  • how to empower your child to be successful each day
  • how to correct behavior while establishing positive self-worth in the child
  • how to model and teach self-regulation and using words to express emotions to get needs met
  • how to redo behavior in the most appropriate ways
  • how to help your child connect to others and build healthy relationship skills.

($50/person – scholarships available)

Southern California participants who have attended Making Sense of Your Worth are invited to join us as we travel through the 8-week study together.
