Community Spotlight

We recently celebrated the graduation of two of our Jobs for Life graduates, Marc Boucher and Robert Andrews, from a welding training program. The program, offered by Reignite Hope in Gardena, met weekly for four months. During that time, men and women learned welding skills as they were also taught Christian values and principles by their trainers. Because the class was scheduled for one full day weekly, Marc and Robert had to be waiting for their contracted ride each Wednesday morning at 6:10. To their credit they only overslept once, and still managed to find a way from Anaheim to Gardena! They not only completed the program but passed the certification tests, and are now ready to tackle meaningful employment and continue their transition to greater self-sufficiency and renewed hope.

ReIgnite Hope offers a free, four month welding and metal fabrication program. Students who complete the course are tested by an American Welding Society inspector.  100% of our students have passed their certification test.
